If you haven’t seen the latest episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, be aware: spoilers ahead.

Ferrer has been honoured in the latest ep, airing Sunday March 5, following his passing on January 7 this year. The actor played Owen Granger in NCIS:LA, and his character has officially been bid farewell in a heart-warming tribute. Reported by Deadline, Ferrer’s character gets stabbed, and then later disappears from hospital. Friend and colleague Hetty goes to check on him, but finds an empty room and a note that reads “I have some unfinished business to take care of. I’m sure you’ll think of something…You always do.” The episode ended with Ferrer singing Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” and the following tribute appearing on the screen.

We still get some more screen time of Ferrer, with FBI Agent Rosenfield returning to the upcoming Twin Peaks series, premiering on Showtime on May 21st.
