Netflix about to greenlight Fuller House!?

Then and Now

A reboot of ’90s hit “Full House” looks to have to come to fruition.

Netflix are reportedly close to signing a deal that’d bring the Tanner family back to Television for a minimum 13-episode run.

Rumored last year – by the original cast, when they were promoting a new advertisement they appeared in together – the new series will largely fix on the kids of the original characters, markedly DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Blue).

“Fuller House”, says TV Line, would drop us into the lives of DJ and her long-time BFF Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber) – who are, assumingly, either divorcees or single mothers – but also feature guest appearances by the male leads of the original show, John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier. Stamos, who has been championing a “Full House” sequel series for a couple of years, would also be a producer on the show.

“Full House” creator Jeff Franklin will exec-produce alongside Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, who were both EP’s on the original.

While Jodie Sweetin (‘Stephanie’) is rumored to be involved in the sequel series, no word yet on whether Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have responded to requests to do a Michelle reprise.
