New Bill & Ted sequel is “really close”, says Winter

Seems the third instalment of the “Bill & Ted” series is inching closer.

The long-gestating sequel, which has secured the services of original dudes Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, has been bubbling away for years. According to Winter, who has a new doco coming out called “Deep Web”, the second sequel to their ’80s comedy hit is still very much in the works.

“We’re really close. We’re just about there,” Winter said, before cautioning: “In Hollywood parlance, [that] means we’ll either be shooting soon, or it’s never going to happen.”

“We’re producing it and we’re actively trying to get it made,” he continued in his interview with Yahoo!. “We’re not tired of it, but I think for our fans, we are eager to stop talking about and actually shoot the damn thing.”
