New Domino casting rumor!

Kerry Washington (Olivia Pope on telly hit “Scandal”) has tested for the role of the red dude’s partner in the looming “Deadpool” sequel, The Hashtag Show reports.

The actress is reportedly meeting to discuss slipping into the guise of a character both Sienna Miller* (“Stardust”) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“Free State of Jones”) passed on playing.

One can only assume, based on their looks, that the likes of Ruby Rose, Milla Jovovich and Ashley Greene have been asked to at least test too. If the news on Washington testing is any indication though, producer Ryan Reynolds seems to be chasing someone with some bonafide acting chops for the role so it’s possible a couple of the ‘likely’ candidates won’t hear their Samsung’s ring.

A casting call obtained by the site lists the character as being sexy lithe and athletic with a “witty personality”. In other words, Dominion is the perfect little minx to hang with Wade.

Female, All ethnicities, Late 20s – early 30s Sexy, lithe and athletic. She has a witty personality.

Neena is a no-nonsense badass who rarely shows her feeling. Highly capable, supremely confident and armored in… well ARMOR… and bullet-proof sarcasm. But beneath her shell she’s still and vulnerable and some soft, beating remnant of her humanity remains intact. In this scene we need to see both sides. When she can’t get what she needs with insults, bluster and threats we need to see some of that vulnerability. It’s hard for her to let down her guard, and in the mercenary community she grew up in showing compassion is almost embarrassing. We should feel like she’d be more comfortable killing Silberman than saying “Please”.

40-year-old Washington, known for her roles in “Django Unchained”, “The Last King of Scotland” and “A Thousand Words”, would join Ryan Reynolds and potentially Pierce Brosnan in the sequel to the surprise smash of Feb last year.
