The next season of “Homeland” will be filmed in South Africa, doubling for the Middle East.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is the frontrunner to play the villain in the next 007 movie. Though no offer has been made, MGM and Sony have the “12 Years a Slave star atop of their wish list.

Michelle Monaghan (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”) has joined the cast of “Pixels” starring Adam Sandler.

Young Kylie Rogers has been cast in Gabrielle Muccino’s “Fathers and Daughters”, a drama about a love story between a father and his daughter. Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried play the main roles.

Tracey Morgan is set to star in a new comedy series for FXX. The creators of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” are behind the show.

Tom Hardy is set to star in a new 8-part series for producer Ridley Scott and the BBC called “Taboo”. Hardy will star as an early 19th century adventurer battling the East India Company during a time in British history “when the rising power of the Empire seeped into every dark corner,” says exec producer Scott. Steven Knight wrote the teleplay.

Ryan Reynolds, Helen Mirren and Daniel Bruhl have been tapped for The Weinstein Company’s “Woman in Gold”, about a Jewish WWII survivor who fought the Austrian government to get back several paintings by Gustav Klimt that were pilfered from her family during wartime.

Mandy Moore is set to co-star with James Roday in the CBS pilot “Good Session”. “Written by John Hamburg and Matt Miller and directed by Hamburg, the project revolves around a happy couple, Joel (Roday) and Lindsay (Moore), who go to a therapist (Tracey Ullman) to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss. Moore’s Lindsay is a driven and hyper-focused business executive who loves her husband but isn’t quite ready to hop off the fast track of her successful career to have kids.”

John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins & Jim Belushi will co-star in Atlas Independent’s “The Man on Carrion Road”, the story of a botched Mexican cartel Jim Belushideal in the back roads of a border town that leads to the brutalization of its residents. Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane star.
