Donal Logue confirmed as Harvey Bullock; first pic from “Everest”, Ken Foree forsees “Divine Tragedies”, “Walking Dead” international promo, and more..

Finally, CBS has confirmed the rumour – first surfacing on Latino Review a few weeks ago – that “Grounded for Life” star Donal Logue is set to play Detective Harvey Bullock on ‘Batman’ spin-off series “Gotham”.

Writer/Director Jose Prendes (”The Haunting of Whaley House”) and producers Jon and James Kondelik are excited to welcome the badass Ken Foree (”Dawn of the Dead”, ”Lords of Salem”) to the cast of their new film “The Divine Tragedies”. “Ken is not only a good, hard-working actor, but has such an iconic presence that he makes everything cool,” says Prendes. “We sent the script to him and he got back to us the very next day with a simple: ‘I’m in’. We are beyond thrilled to have him on board.” “The Divine Tragedies”, based loosely on the famous Leopold and Loeb murder case, tells the tale of Charles Brubaker (Graham Denman, ”The Haunting of Whaley House”) and his half-brother Thomas Lo Bianco (Jon Kondelik, ”Airplane Vs. Volcano”), who concoct a deadly game to test their superior intelligence against the dimwitted masses. This game will eventually lead to murder. And when Genevieve, a beautiful single mother, enters their lives they finally find the perfect girl for their first kill. But problems arise when they quickly discover that Detective Homer Gaul (Ken Foree), a cop with a very special gift, is hot on their trail. “Jose Prendes, is one of the most promising up and coming directors,” say Ken. “I’m looking forward to our collaboration and working with the producers on this exciting film. I’m very anxious for shooting to begin. I know it will be a wonderful, creative adventure for all of us.” Filming begins at the end of February.

A rather spoilerific international promo for upcoming eps of “The Walking Dead” has been released.

Juliette Lewis (“August Osage County”) has joined the cast of ABC’s “Secrets & Lies”, joining fellow ’90s movie icon Ryan Phillippe (The Hollywood Reporter)

Jeffrey Nordling (“24”) and Christina Chang (“Nashville”) have joined the cast of ABC Drama pilot “Sea of Fire”. The show “chronicles the fallout from three teenage girls starring in a pornographic film, which tears their families apart and leads to a disappearance and a murder.” (Deadline)

George Clooney and Grant Heslov will produce a remake of the Norweigan conspiracy thriller “Pioneer” for Sony (The Hollywood Reporter)

Jamey Sheridan (“Arrow”) has joined the cast of the TNT pilot “Agent X” starring Sharon Stone and Jeff Hephner (Deadline)

FOX has picked up the new Will Forte comedy “The Last Man on Earth”; the sitcom, which comes from “Lego Movie” helmers Chris Miller and Phil Lord, is expected to air as a mid-season offering in the 2014-2015 non-ratings period (The Hollywood Reporter)

Dimension has preemptively picked up the pitch “The Witches Ballroom” from “Crazies” screenwriter Ray Wright. Shawn Levy will produce. (Deadline)

Dan Harmon’s adult animated comedy “Rick and Morty” has been renewed for a second season (The Hollywood Reporter)

Former “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria has joined the cast of Blumhouse-produced “Visions”. Starring Isla Fisher, Anson Mount and Gillan Jacobs, the movie stars Fisher as a pregnant woman who moves with her husband to the countryside where she is plagued by visions of a sinister hooded figure. Longoria will play Fisher’s big city pal, who disapproves of some of her choices (Deadline)

Richard Dreyfuss (“Paranoia”, “Jaws”) has joined the cast of the Mora Stephens-directed “Zipper”. The movie stars Patrick Wilson a man who risks losing his family and career to his temptation for other women. Dreyfuss is a political genius named George Miller. (Deadline)

“Hunger Games : Catching Fire” star Jeffrey Wright is set to voice the villain in a new animated adaptation of the Grimm Bros’ “Bremen Town Musicians” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Scarlett Johanssen will get her own ‘Black Widow’ movie down-the-line, says Marvel’s Kevin Feige. “We start filming the next Avengers film at the end of March,” Feige tells Total Film. “[Black] Widow’s part in that is very big. We learn more about her past and learn more about where she came from and how she became in that film. The notion of exploring that even further in her own film would be great, and we have some development work with that.”

Disney Animation VP and GM Andrew Millstein says, despite the rumours, there’s no “Frozen” sequel in development. “At the moment, there’s not a sequel on the drawing boards. Could there be? Sure. But we’re not engineered around the predetermination of that.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

“Gone Girl” duo David Fincher (director) and Gillian Flynn (author) have reunited to bring Brit series “Utopia” to Television. Flynn will write the HBO adaptation, with Fincher (“House of Cards”) executive producing (Deadline)

“How I Met Your Mother” ‘Mom’ Cristin Milioti has been tapped to co-lead the NBC comedy “A to Z”. “From Warner Bros Television, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Train and writer Ben Queen, A To Z follows the relationship between a young couple, Andrew and Zelda (Milioti), from meeting to breakup. Zelda, is “the realist” in the relationship, a lawyer at a small, public-advocacy law firm. Alternately serious and hilarious, Zelda believes she controls her own destiny, loves being a grown-up and doesn’t understand why anyone over 20 would go see an animated movie or eat ice cream sundaes.” (Deadline)

The first image from Universal Pictures’ “Everest” has been released.  Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin and John Hawkes star in the Baltasar Kormákur-directed movie.

Momoa : Henry Cavill “100%” returning as Superman

“Aquaman” star confirms “Justice League” co-star is returning to Kal-el role

While previous reports suggested Henry Cavill’s days as Superman were behind him, one of the actor’s “Justice League” co-stars has confirmed otherwise.

Jason Momoa, the star of “Aquaman”, tells Entertainment Tonight that Cavill’s not going anywhere.

“He’s absolutely not. He loves the character and he’s not [leaving]. 100%.”

Earlier this week, Momoa sung a different tune when asked by The Huffington Post whether it’s true Cavill and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) won’t be back for future DCEU movies.

“If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three? Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did… s–t, I have done three. Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on Justice League]. Henry is the gentlemen who taught me when I came on not knowing anything. I’m like the ruffian hooligan, and he’s just like, ‘There’s kids watching,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah. My bad.’ He is totally 100% the Superman for me.”

Seems between that interview and the new one with ET on the red carpet for “Aquaman”, Momoa’s had hard intel suggesting Cavill’s back for more. That would possibly indicate that Adams, who had told Variety she believes she’s out of future ‘Superman’ and DCEU movies, might also be back in the mix for future super-eps.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck’s fate as Batman is still up in the air.
