Jane Fonda has delivered some good news in relation to a potential sequel to 1980 classic “9 to 5”, with the actress stating that Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and herself intend on being in it.
Fonda stated “My role is as an executive producer, and I’m working with the writers, with Lily, and talking to the writers. Right now, Dolly, Lily and I are all intending to be in it.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that the project would have Rashida Jones and Pat Rosnick aboard to write the script, which according to Fonda will be slightly different in theme to the original film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fonda implied that technology and corporate voyeurism could be the foil in the world of the new “9 to 5”, set at the same fictional office of Consolidated Companies.
