Warner Bros is close to locking in a star-studded cast for its all-female “Ocean’s” spinoff, reports Deadline.
Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina (aka Nora Lum) are set to join the previously announced Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett in “Ocean’s Eight”.
The film has been given an October start date in New York with Gary Ross directing.
“Ocean’s Eleven” director Steven Soderbergh is producing the film. Ross penned the script with Olivia Milch.
