Not to say he won’t be playing a ghost but Mark Hamill has confirmed he’ll be back for “Star Wars Episode VIII”.
The iconic Luke Skywalker actor revealed the news on Twitter, noting that he’ll have to keep the character’s new shaggy face attire for the “Force Awakens” follow-up.
Still no word on whether his fellow ‘original’ cohorts Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be back.
We still don’t know why Skywalker has been left out of the marketing materials – specifically the poster and trailer – for next month’s “Star Wars” sequel, but the actor suggests his absence is intentional.
“I have something coming out where there’s an amount of money that if it leaks because of me, I don’t get that payment,” he said. “If I keep it a secret until the day it comes out, I get that payment.”
So, what could Hamill be hiding? Has his character gone to the dark side? Is he the chap under Kylo Ren’s mask? Or maybe he’s already an Obi-Wan-esque spite?
Last shaved on 10/22 after final day of my 2nd #TheFlash (which airs 12/8 #XmasTrix), just in time for Ep VIII-whew! https://t.co/UNsPDaqFT2
