With his on-screen lover Meghan Markle recently confirmed to depart “Suits” following the 7th season, the show has now confirmed that Patrick J. Adams will also be making his exit from the series.
Speculation of the actor’s exit has been in discussion for a while, with the 7th season also wrapping up Adams’ contractual agreements. With character Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) having departed to her own spinoff series, there will be a three-person-sized hole left in the Suit. My opinion is that Gabriel Macht can quite comfortably fill that hole, but I guess he will need other people to bounce off. Shame.
Adams played Mike Ross for the last 7 seasons, and started the show as the key character- having being hired as an attorney without the legal qualifications, but instead having the brains. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Due Hill will be upped to series regular in season 8 to fill the void of Adams’ loss.
