“Pee-Wee Herman” actor Paul Reubens is set to play play Penguin’s father Tucker Cobblepot on the second season of “Gotham”.
Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Penguin the show, made the announcement at at New York Comic Con where he appeared with co-stars Ben McKenzie, Cory Michael Smith, Erin Richards, Michael Chiklis, James Frain and Jessica Lucas, and exec producer John Stephens.
“He will be showing up very soon,” Taylor said.
“Pee-Wee Herman is playing my dad! What the hell? Oh my god!”
This will mark the second occasion Reubens has played the Batman villain’s father. He appeared as the character in the 1992 flick “Batman Returns.”
“Gotham” season two airs at 8pm ET/PT on Mondays on FOX.
