Pitch Perfect 3 moving forward with writer

Inevitably, Universal and Gold Circle are moving forward on a third “Pitch Perfect” installment, and now THR reports that Kay Cannon (who wrote the first two films) is in negotiations to return to script “Pitch Perfect 3”.

At this stage we don’t know whether director, producer and star Elizabeth Banks will return and we’re also unsure whether stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will be involved. Kendrick and Wilson were each (reportedly) paid $2 million for their roles in the second film, so some hefty negotiating may be in order.
