Raiders of the DVD Shelves

If you could request any DVD set in the world, I’m betting many of you would request the much-mooted "Indiana Jones" threesome. They’ve been talking about it for years – releasing them on DVD – whispers here and there. But really, nothing solid. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a date is locked in for Nov. 4.

According to the trade, "The Adventures of Indiana Jones—The Complete DVD Movie Collection" will include a disc specifically dedicated to bonus materials for the movies, produced by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg. Among the bonus materials, a documentary crafted by Laurent Bouzereau. But don’t go holding your breath for an audio commentary [damn you Spielberg, damn you!] there’s – not surprisingly – not a single one.

No word yet on an Australian release date, but for U.S readers, you’ll be able to pick them up for about $49.95 first week of November.

Now if only they could -finally – get going on the anticipated "Indiana Jones and the case of the squeaky wheelchair", oops, I mean "Indiana Jones 4".
