Caffeinated Clint
Umpteen years after Robert Rodriguez failed to get a reboot off the ground (with then girlfriend Rose McGowan in the lead), fellow franchise-fan Bryan Singer is looking to see if he can get pulp icon Red Sonja back onto the screen (the character hasn’t graced a movie screen since the ill-fated film starring Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1985). Interestingly enough, Singer’s plan involves bringing the character to the small screen – in a no-holds-barried adults only affair that sounds like it’d be a dream fit on one of the cablers.
According to Bleeding Cool, the “Red Sonja” series isn’t with a network [yet] but Singer’s working with the rights holders on seeing that something can’t be done with Conan’s flaxen-haired friend.
In other news, Bryan Singer continues to develop a hundred projects at once – hoping to see something other than an “X-Men” movie get the greenlight somewhere.
