Fox Searchlight has picked up “Pale Blue Dot” with Reese Witherspoon attached to star.
The spec script, from Brian C Brown and Elliott DiGuiseppi, follows a successful astronaut (Witherspoon) who starts to unravel when she returns home from a mission in space and is confronted by her seemingly perfect American dream life.
Witherspoon will also produce with Bruna Papandrea through their Pacific Standard production banner. Exec producers are Brown and DiGuiseppi.
