Renner wants to make Bourne crossover movie with Damon

Last we heard, Universal had two “Bourne” movies in development – one that reunites Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass, and sees Damon reprising Jason Bourne, and a another that serves as a sequel to “The Bourne Legacy” with Jeremy Renner (as Aaron Cross) and Justin Lin onboard.

Renner is aware of the competition – but doesn’t fret it, in fact, he looks forward to the day he and Damon can share the screen in a “Bourne” movie. He even has an idea how that might work.

“I think you pit them against each other,” Renner tells CraveOnline, “and then they go together against the bad guy. We realize that we’re not the enemy. I mean, I think a thousand people can come up with that scenario, but I think you do both. I think that could be really interesting. Mind you, there have been NO talks, whatsoever, creatively about that. So that’s just the fanboy in me, I suppose.”

Renner says Lin has gone off to work on “True Detective” Season Two so their won’t be any work getting done on his “Bourne” film until the filmmaker’s commitment to HBO has concluded.
