Rian Johnson to direct next two Star Wars movies

Rian Johnson is in talks to write and direct two new “Star Wars” films, reports Deadline.
Despite production having just begun on “Episode VII”, Lucasfilm and Disney are already looking forward to “Star Wars: Episode VIII” and “Episode IX”, and the execs have their sights set on Johnson.
J.J. Abrams is currently directing “Star Wars: Episode VII” with filming happening at the moment in London. Now it looks as though this will be the only film in the resurrected franchise that he will helm.
Johnson is known for directing Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 2012’s sci-fi action hit “Looper”. He also helmed several eps of “Breaking Bad”.
