Ridley Scott : Blade Runner 2 script finished, likely to go next

Though his next film will be the science-fiction piece “The Martian”, the always-busy Ridley Scott says he does have the “Blade Runner” and “Prometheus” sequels ready-to-go after that – he just obviously has to decide which one he wants to do sooner than the other.

Scott tells EW that the “Blade Runner” sequel will most likely come next.

“It’s written and it’s damn good,” Scott says of the sequel to the 1982 classic “Of course it involves Harrison [Ford], who is a survivor after all these years—despite the accident (that happened on the set of “Star Wars”). So yes, that will happen.”

But if he does “Blade Runner 2” after “The Martian”, then he can’t do “Prometheus 2” for a few years.

“That’s the problem,” Scott says. “I’ve got a lot of ducks in a row. But they’re all written.”
