A follow-up to the 2014 “RoboCop” reboot is still in the works, according to Den of Geek.
While the remake of the ’80s classic – starring Joel Kinnaman in the title role – didn’t exactly set the box office on fire, the outlet has discovered that Sony Pictures are still hearing pitches for a potential sequel. It’s not a big priority of the studio, but if they obviously hear something that works for them.. they’ll likely get it done.
If a sequel gets the go ahead, expect Kinnaman and Abbie Cornish to reprise their roles as the estranged Murphys. No word on whether director José Padilha would return.
