The director of “Die Hard” returns with new actioner

The king of 80s action cinema – we’re talking about folks behind the camera so save the emails Michael Dudikoff fans – filmmaker John McTiernan (“Predator”, “Die Hard”, “The Hunt for Red October”) is returning to do what he does best: blow shit up; pit a lone hero against a circle of thugs, and capture it all in that beautiful-looking widescreen fashion of his.

According to Variety, McTiernan will direct Karl Urban (“Pathfinder”, “Doom”) in “Run”, a $30 million dollar action pic in which the Kiwi actor will don the trousers of an Interpol agent who, while pursuing a murder suspect, uncovers a fraud conspiracy.

The actioner’s script reportedly has 100 pages of car chases. Pic will start lensing in August and post in London.
