With Universal Pictures moving forward on a new adaptation of “Van Helsing”, Twitch reports that “Snow White and The Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders has been approached to direct the film.
Written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the “Van Helsing” project is described as being a complete re-imagination of the 2004 film that starred Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.
Tom Cruise has been attached to star in the gothic fantasy flick.
If Sanders accepts the offer to direct, he may have to pass on directing duties for a sequel to “Snow White and The Hunstman”; something that may be attractive to the studio given his highly-publicised affair with “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart.
