Scarlett Johansson hops about Taika Waititi’s next film Jojo Rabbit

Scarlett Johansson is in final talks to join the cast of “Jojo Rabbit”, directed by “Thor: Ragnarok” helmer Taika Waititi. The Fox Searchlight film is set during World War II.

The film centres on a young German boy who finds out that his mother, to be played by Johansson, is hiding a Jewish girl in their home (via Variety).

Following the success of Waititi’s last film, he’s been in hot demand, and was able to nab Johansson for “Jojo Rabbit” in the midst of directing his “What We Do in the Shadows” pilot.

He will now look at casting a young boy for a role.
