CBS Films and Lionsgate have announced that “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”, co-written and produced by Guillermo del Toro, will open in theaters August 9, 2019.
Directed by André Øvredal, and based on the terrifying children’s book series, the pic follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town.
The cast includes Dean Norris of “Veronica Mars” fame and Gil Bellows, known for his role on ’90s dramedy “Ally McBeal”.
