With the “Deadpool” sequel packed with a colossal lot of new faces as it is, no surprise to hear something – or someone, in this case -was going to be left on the cutting room floor. According to Jeff Sneider on Meet the Movie Press, the film’s villain – rumored to be ‘Black Tom Cassidy’ – has been chopped from the film. Though Fox haven’t confirmed the report, we do know that the production underwent reshoots this year – to add more of Cable (Josh Brolin) – so the rumour could be well on the money.

“Den of Thieves” director and co-writer Christian Gudecast tells Screen Rant his idea for the recently-greenlit sequel. “Every studio wants a little mini-franchise if possible. Thankfully, thank god, we’re all very fortunate that it did very well and now we’re going to do a sequel which is great. But that initially the plan. That’s just something that sort of you know as we were making it and we were feeling that the twist was working, and it setting up well for a sequel – if it performed, that we would do one. And it performed so, the sequel will be something that I have researched for years and years. I’m adapting a different story to make it a sequel about the Pink Panther mafia and the diamond thieves from Europe. It’s all going to be set in Europe. And it’s going be about Big Nick hunting Donnie, who’s involved in a diamond heist and he’s teamed up with the former Pink Panther mafia, and it’s about Nick hunting him along with… Nick is also going to be hunted by another group, I won’t reveal right now. It’s gonna, there’ll be a few different kinds of twist in this one. It’ll be hopefully very surprising.”

The highly-anticipated “Terminator” reboot – referred to as “Terminator 3” by the studio, interestingly enough – has been pushed back from July 26 2019 to November 22nd 2019. The delay doesn’t have anything to do with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s heart surgery and has been expected for quite some time. (Deadline)

Emily Blunt has said in recent times that she’d be down for a “Devil Wears Prada” sequel, but in a new interview with People the British rose extends on that, suggesting that although she’d be into it if it happened, she thinks its better left alone. “I almost hope it doesn’t [happen] because I think sometimes when you sequel everything it kind of dilutes how special the original is.”

Good news for “Gremlins” fans, not only has Christopher Columbus finished the script for the film – said to be in the dark, twisted vein of the original – but he guarantees those peksy Gremlins will again be old-school puppets. Speaking to /Film, Columbus says: “CGI will enable us to remove wires and make the puppeteers lives a little easier. It was brutal. It was like a marathon every night for those guys. In the bar scene alone there were 18 [or] 20 people behind the bar. No one had any space to move. It was just hellish for those guys so CGI will simplify that a little bit but it’s all puppets.”

The original cast of the soon-to-return “Murphy Brown” – Candice Bergen, Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud – along with returning writer and executive producer Diane English and newcomer Nik Dodani got together to pose a selfie ahead of the revival’s 13-episode comeback season on CBS.
