Shia LaBeouf is A Giant

Although the “Transformers” star won’t be returning to the franchise that made him even more popular than ever, it doesn’t look like he’ll be hurting for some cash anytime soon with the number of films he has in the works.

Variety reports that LaBeouf is attached to play a giant in an untitled quirky love story. Set to be directed by Gil Kenan (“Monster House”), LaBeouf will star in “A Giant.” The film follows a girl, broke and running from a series of bad relationships, who moves back home to reconnect with her brother. Instead she forms a relationship with a 20-foot-tall man-child who lives next door, to be played by LaBeouf.

The flick will be the first film for the newly formed Lava Bear Films and will be produced by Lava Bear as well as Jim Henson Co. and French vfx company BUF.

“A Giant” is currently the film’s temporary title.
