Shrek to appear in new Puss in Boots sequel?

While it’s still three years off, the sequel to animated hit “Puss in Boots” might even come come packaged with a slightly stouter fan base.

According to star Antonio Banderas, “Puss in Boots 2 : Nine Lives and 40 Thieves” star might reteam the feline with his old green pal, Shrek.

“I heard some rumors that Shrek may be coming back,” Banderas tells Empire. “That would be great. Shrek doing a cameo… in MY movie? Uh, huh! Yeah, I’d like that.”

With DreamWorks Animation pushing the film off it’s intended December 2018 release and back into development (“They are restructuring the script now,” Banderas said), the studio has a while to entice Mike Myers into lending his lungs to it.
