Snipes discovers he has "Nine Lives"

"Blade" star Wesley Snipes will star in director David Carson’s "Nine Lives", says The Hollywood Reporter. The project is in preproduction and will begin shooting March 30 in Bulgaria. The project, described as a cross between "Jacob’s Ladder" and "The Bourne Identity," centers on a former Army Special Ops soldier who, mistaken for a government agent, gets injected with a hallucinogenic mind-control drug that allows people to alter his reality with simple suggestions. Finding himself on the run, he must search for the antidote while battling his foes, his inner demons and the illusions the drug allows his enemies to create. "Wesley is the perfect blend of actor and action star for this role," Producer Jim Wedaa said. "We are all incredibly excited about signing him for this film. David is an incredibly talented director and has a spectacular vision for the picture."
