Sonic the Hedgehog to be voiced by Ben Schwartz

The upcoming live-action hybrid movie “Sonic the Hedgehog” has cast Ben Schwartz to voice the title character. The “Parks and Recreation” actor joins James Marsden, Tiki Sumpter and Jim Carrey in the flick.

The film is being directed by Jeff Fowler, alongside producers Neal H. Moritz, Tim Miller and Toby Ascher. It’s got a release date of November 15th, 2019.

“Sonic the Hedgehog” is based on the popular video game, and will blend elements of live-action and CGI. Sega launched the game in 1991, and features a hedgehog named Sonic on a quest to defeat Doctor Robotnik, a scientist who has imprisoned animals in robots and stolen magical Chaos Emeralds.
