Sons of Anarchy star Jonny Lewis, 28, found dead

“Sons of Anarchy” star Johnny Lewis, 28, has been found dead.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the troubled young actor “was found dead in the driveway of a home, which contained the body of his battered landlady. Lewis has been implicated in her death, and investigators believe he fell from the roof of the home while under the influence of drugs.”

Lewis, who appeared in 28 episodes of “Sons of Anarchy”, was apparently quite the unwell man. He killed his landlady’s cat, with only his bare hands, and then killed the lady herself. The actor then fell from a roof.

“Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter said he’s saddened but not completely shocked by the turn of events.

Sutter tweeted :

I wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path.

Lewis was a regular on TV; he also played Dennis ‘Chili’ Childress on “The OC”, Gabriel Duncan on “Smallville”, Pearce Chase on the sitcom “Quintuplets”; and recently did a guest turn on “Bones”. His movie credits include the recent horror film “Lovely Molly”.

The media, like Sutter, suggest Lewis was a ticking time-bomb just waiting to go off. In addition to drug and alcohol issues, it’s led to believe the actor suffered from severe mental illnesses including BPD and Bipolar and struggled with the condition.

As a psych nurse, I see many young men suffering from these conditions. It’s a tough one. Most of the time the patients come across quite normal and pleasant, and the worst side-effect of the condition I’ve observed is chronic lying, a bit of unfounded jealousy, and the odd extreme anxiety attack that can lead to a temporary burst of anger or resentment if the issue isn’t quickly resolved.
But there’s also times when these conditions can get very much out of hand, as we’ve seen today and unfortunately, there’s no real way for someone to stay as “in check” as often as required.
See, it’s inevitable there’s going to be the occasional slip; each of the young men and women that I’ve met over the 18 months I’ve worked in the field has admitted to at least one severe slip in which they’ve either hurt someone or themselves, or both – I’m not making excuses for Lewis’s behaviour, I am simply suggesting that the that the medical board need to take these cases more seriously – because they’re happening more and more (See : Jason Holmes.) We can’t afford to just let time-bombs tick. I just wish I knew the answers; too many lives are being destroyed.

81-year-old Catherine Davis was believed to have been a kind lady, who rented out apartments to Hollywood actors. Lewis had rent from her on a couple of occasions. She just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, it seems – as did her poor cat. Really horrible.

Sad day.
