Jason Momoa – though he’s not allowed to confirm it- is playing Aquaman in “Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice”. We know that.
What we don’t know is just what the wet hero will look like in the 2016 blockbuster. Today, Schmoes Know shed some light on Aquaman’s garb and how he factors into the flick.
So the first bit of news is that he’s going to look like a surfer essentially with tribal tattoos and all that jazz. Nothing huge and pretty obvious but for those of you wondering, that’s what we hear he’ll look like in the film, which makes sense since it’s Momoa playing the character. Now, the next bit of news is pretty cool. You remember that scene in Man of Steel when after Supes saves the men on the oil rig and collapses into the water, he wakes up at some point and sees whales above him? (See photo above).
Well apparently all those rumors that they may have been sent from Aquaman are right. Apparently, Aquaman sent the whales to save Supes and make sure he was okay, which makes sense considering we never actually see how Supes gets back to shore in the film. He sees the whales and then it cuts to him walking on land, which could mean they were saving the swim back for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Small news, but it’s still pretty cool right? It’s also pretty cool because it means that DC has in fact had a plan for awhile now when it comes to their characters, even if David Goyer doesn’t think so. I like the news, and think this could be a pretty stellar introduction for Momoa’s character in the film. It’ll be interesting to see if they show it in the flick or not!
Momoa is expected to reprise the role for the “Justice League” film.
