Star Wars : Del Toro talks Ep VIII, Force Friday underway!

He’s yet to be officially announced but sure sounds like Benicio Del Toro is indeed about to be receiving checks with a Lucasfilm logo on them.

Previously reported to be in talks to play a villainous role in Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars Episode VIII” (yes, we’re already talking about a sequel to a film that hasn’t been released yet – “The Force Awakens” still being three months away) the “Guardians of the Galaxy” thesp tells Spanish radio station RAC1 that filming will begin next year (“February or March”). Though Del Toro did point out that it’s not officially official yet, he’s definitely speaking like a locked cast member.

Meanwhile, new “Force Awakens” toys hit the stores over the past 24 hours – Australia was the first to get a glimpse of the boxed treats – and every man and their Wookie were out in, er, force trying to grab their hands on the new figures, tees, mugs, ships and lego kits. The most popular toys have been the BB-8 droid and a remote controlled Millennium Falcon.

Tell you one thing, you’ll never see me buying a damn toy in public.
