Star Wars trailer talk update!

The trailer for “Star Wars Episode VII” won’t debut with “The Hobbit : Battle of the Five Armies” as rumoured, according to /Film.

Instead, it might debut earlier – and with more spectacle!

A source tells the aforementioned website that although the trailer for “Star Wars : The Force Awakens” might play with “The Hobbit” next month, that won’t be where it premieres.

Disney has “bigger plans” for the trailer debut than a simple attachment.

That could mean anything, but punters suggest it could mean special exclusive screenings of the trailer (yes, by itself!) in select cinemas (maybe IMAX?) or some sort of global television launch – same day, same time worldwide. Considering this is “Star Wars”, one of the biggest brands in moviedom, Disney aren’t just going to be throwing it up on Yahoo! Movies for net heads to casually discover.

A couple of days ago we ran a description of said trailer, you can read the guts of that news item here.
