Star Wars villain awarded in Venice

“Girls” star Adam Driver is going from strength to strength.

The actor is being honoured at the Venice Film Festival where he won the best actor awards for his role in “Hungry Hearts”.

Co-star Alba Rohrwacher took out best actress for the same film from director Saverio Costanzo in which the pair play a couple who meet by chance in New York City before being confronted by dire circumstances.

The festival’s top Golden Lion prize was taken out by “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting On Existence” director Roy Andersson.
