Universal has instead slated NWA biopic “Straight Outta Compton” for the August 14, 2015 spot.
O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell will star in the film as group members Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E. F. Gary Gray will direct.
“Straight Outta Compton” centres on the five youngsters from Compton, California who revolutionized music and pop culture when they formed the hip-hop group NWA.
