Summit to Step Up and Get Some

Both set to shoot this Summer

A sequel to the teen dance-drama “Step Up” is in the works.

The original film, starring Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, told of a rebel whose forced to fill in for a ballet dancer, and in turn, falls for his new partner.

“Step Up 2”, which will go into production this Summer, is one of two projects that Summit Entertainment are putting all their eggs in. The other, “Get Some”, starring Sean Faris (from the short-lived TV series “Reunion”), is about a rebellious teen coerced into an underground fight club amid difficulties in adapting to his new high school, says Variety.

John Chu (“The Prom”) is attached to direct “Step Up 2”. The film is set at the Maryland School for the Arts.
