“ABCs of Superheroes”, a new independent superherofilm from Germany featuring Bai Ling, Fred Olen Ray and Lloyd Kaufman, has kicked off a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter to help secure post production funds.
Says the Kickstarter post :
Principal photography for this most complex endeavor started in june 2014. More than 200 actors were involved in the making of this independent movie. The film is full of action and excitement and strange superheroes in incredibly entertaining episodes. It is at the same time a parody of superhero-movies as well as a love letter to the genre, to modern Hollywood blockbusters and the comics that we grew up with.
Principal photography has wrapped and we have a great cut of the film. Unfortunately we are extremely pressed for time to finish the film. Thus we have to hire additional visual effect artists that were not in the original budget calculation. But to finish the film and ensure the high quality we expect and demand for our effects, we have to pay these great visual effect artists.
This is where we ask you: Please help us!
The film is almost finished, but all our funds are exhausted. We dont want to compromise at the last minute and deliver some half-assed film. We want to deliver the best quality possible. Your contribution can help us finish the postproduction on the highest level possible.
