Tag begins production

The film with the all-star cast and pretty ace storyline is in production, Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed. “Tag” begins filming in Atlanta, and is directed by Jeff Tomsic for New Line Cinema.

Moviehole has been reporting on the cast updates as they come in, and the full cast includes Jeremy Renner, Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, Annabelle Wallis, Rashida Jones, Isla Fisher and Leslie Bibb.

For one month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first grade—risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take each other down with the battle cry “You’re It!” This year, the game coincides with the wedding of their only undefeated player, which should finally make him an easy target. But he knows they’re coming…and he’s ready. Based on a true story, “Tag” shows how far some guys will go to be the last man standing.

“Tag” is based on the Wall Street Journal article entitled “It Takes Planning, Caution to Avoid Being It”, and the screenplay was written by Mark Steilen and Rob McKittrick. Producers Todd Garner, Mark Steilen and Sean Robins join executive producer Hans Ritter on the project.

The flick will be in cinemas June 29, 2018.
