The CW and CBS TV Studios are teaming on “Colony”, a new drama about the 400 year-old Roanoke Colony mystery, according to Deadline.
The show would trace the story of a group of explorers – all willing to leave behind their lives on Earth for something pretty daunting, and a tad scary – who are sent to colonize Mars. It’s inspired by the story of The Lost Colony, who in the 16th century settled on Roanoke Island, near North Carolina, and visited without a trace.
Ian Goldberg (“Once Upon a Time”) is writing and executive producing the series, alongside Kennedy/Marshall – blockbuster duo behind such hits as “Jurassic Park” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”.
