The last Emperor returning for Star Wars Episode VII?

The Emperor will return for “Star Wars : Episode VII”.
Yes, I’m going by the title ‘Emperor’ now. Bow, bitches.
No, in all seriousness… call me Emperor.

While it’s early days, some interesting gossip emerged overnight about the upcoming “Star Wars Episode VII” and how the character of Emperor Palpatine may factor into it.
While the dude was thrown off that balcony to his (apparent) death at the end of “Return of the Jedi”, there’s scuttlebutt out there suggesting Ian McDiarmid might be reprising the role for the 2015 sequel.

Latino Review, who have as good a track record with scoops as Cold Rock Ice Creamery, say the wrinkled-old fart comes back in the form of a ghost. All Obi-Wan Kenobi like, but evil and shit.
“Palpatine comes back as a Force Ghost..like Obi Wan. (Sith Lords learned similar techniques, which in some cases allowed them to physically interact with their environment.)”, a source told LR.

They add, ” Palpatine had a new apprentice before he got killed.
Why would the clone be an old emperor? Go look at some of the old Dark Horse Comics. They cloned the emperor in those comics. Why would they repeat that? Why bring the emperor back to life? That would just be stupid as all hell.
Sorry to geek fans who made up their own world but it just is NOT how it is.
Once again not going by any books. Not one thing they have in the script is from a book.”

So there you have it, McDiarmid’s family gets to eat a few more years before relying on the convention circuit to provide the Thanksgiving turkeys.

No word yet on whether the ghost of Jar Jar Binks is returning, but if he is.. let it be the decapitated version I wrote about in my fan-fic.
