Two of today’s most dependable comedic actors, Paul Rudd (”Anchorman”) and Amy Poehler (”Baby Mama”) team up for a lukewarm spoof of romantic comedies.
When Joel (Rudd) and Molly (Poehler) meet, it’s far from love at first sight – in fact, they despise each other : his cashed-up corporate lolly company threatens to shut down her small lolly store. But much to their surprise, Joel and Molly fall in love – right up until Joel realises he still has a chance to score his hot ex back, and Molly takes an interest in her accountant. And then… well, you know how these movies end.
From ”When Harry Met Sally” to ”You’ve Got Mail”, the rom-com greats are all giving a good tickle … but the pokes miss as much as they hit.
