Every good superhero needs a mentor, right?
Latino Review reports that several big names have been approached to play the part of The Ancient One – the mentor to the Sorcerer Supreme – in Scott Derrickson’s “Doctor Strange”.
Morgan Freeman (“The Dark Knight”), Ken Watanabe (“Batman Begins”), and Bill Nighy (“Underworld”) are up for the wisely old chap that trains Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doc in the flick. The Ancient One also trained Baron Karl Mordo, who is rumoured to be filling the villain slot in the movie.
Definitely a dissimilar bunch of actors there, but all bring their A-game to each and every thing they do so Marvel clearly know what they’re doing.
