Yet another comic is being adapted for TV.
“Rush” actor Tom Ellis has nabbed the titular role in FOX and DC Entertainment’s “Lucifer” series.
The show centres on Lucifer, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.
Based on Mike Carey’s Vertigo comics, “Sleepy Hollow” co-creator Len Wiseman will direct the pilot which Jerry Bruckheimer will executive producer.
