“Inception” duo Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio are set to reunite with Hardy officially joining the cast of DiCaprio starer “The Revenant”.
Alejandro González Iñárritu will direct with Will Poulter also in talks to join the cast.
The New Regency Western is based on a novel by Michael Punke and follows a 1820s frontiersman who seeks vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.
Production is due to kick off in the US fall.
Mark L. Smith and Inarritu penned the adaptation which will see Inarritu produce with Steve Golin, Keith Redmon, David Kanter, Arnon Milchan and James Skotchdopole.
Paul Green, Brett Ratner and James Packer will exec produce.
