The trailer for “A Most Wanted Man” has been released and it shows Philip Seymour Hoffman giving one of his final performances.
Directed by Anton Corbijn, the spy thriller also stars Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe, Grigoriy Dobrygin and Robin Wright.
The film is based on John le Carré’s bestselling book. Set in Germany, it follows a mysterious, tortured and near-dead half-Chechen, half-Russian man (Grigoriy Dobrygin) on the run. Desperate for help, he arrives in Hamburg’s Islamic community, seeking his late Russian father’s ill-gotten inheritance. Despite being unsure of this man or his intentions, a young lawyer (McAdams) is determined to help him. Meanwhile, a German spy (Hoffman) watches them, fighting to put the pieces together before it’s too late.
“A Most Wanted Man” will hit cinemas on July 25.
