Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming “Cinderella” and while they certainly were not lying about the ‘teaser’ aspect, the clip may be seen to stretch the term ‘trailer’.
The video lacks characters, dialogue and even locations, giving absolutely nothing about the live-action remake away.
What the clip does debut, however, is the titular character’s iconic glass slipper. And boy does the teaser show it off. A variety of angles and close ups of the shoe are depicted in the clip which pairs the swift camera work with majestic, orchestral music.
The March 13, 2015 release stars “Downton Abbey’s” Lily James as Cinderella and Cate Blanchett as her step-mother. Richard Madden, Stellan Skarsgård, Holliday Grainger, Sophie McShera, Derek Jacobi and Helena Bonham-Carter also star.
“Thor” helmer Kenneth Branagh directs the pic, inspired, of course, by the classic 1950s original.
