Guillermo del Toro directs the gothic horror story with stars Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver.
Del Toro, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Callum Greene produce. Jillian Share is exec producer.
Look out for “Crimson Peak” when it opens on October 16.
Directed by Del Toro, the man responsible for films like Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devil’s Backbone, and written by both Del Toro and Matthew Robbins, “Crimson Peak” is a co-production between Legendary and Universal Pictures. Set in the aftermath of a family tragedy, the film follows an aspiring author, who is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers.
