Trailer : Thank You For Your Service

We see a lot about war in Hollywood. Men and women fighting for their country, doing whatever it takes to make sure civilians back at home, including their families, can live a worry-free and safe life.

But what happens when these soldiers go home? Unfortunately for many, it’s not all happiness and smiles after being reunited with the ones they love. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating illness that effects millions of people every day. It takes its toll on people recovering from an accident, emergency service workers, people who have been through a traumatic incident, and of course those returning from war.

In “Thank You For Your Service”, Miles Teller plays a solider returning from Iraq and struggling to return to everyday life. The film is based on the novel of the same name by David Finkel and sees a group of soliders reunited with the life that we all take for granted, and find it more difficult than they could imagine.

Backed by “Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man, the trailer sets up the movie as a military drama and almost looks set for awards season. Check it out above.

The flick also stars Haley Bennett, Joe Cole, Amy Schumer, Beulah Koale, Scott Haze, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Brad Beyer, Omar J. Dorsey and Jayson Warner Smith. See it in cinemas October 27.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield. The gripping drama is based on the bestselling book by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author David Finkel.
