Triple Frontier : who is actually starring?

“Triple Frontier” is officially confusing me. The Netflix film has been in development since 2010, and has had actors drop out, names rumoured, and directors changed.

Ben Affleck was set to star, then exited. Tom Hardy was also aboard, but fell off. The studio was also not fussed on director J.C. Chandor’s script.

But it seems things are finally moving forward, with Netflix confirming that production has indeed gone ahead in Hawaii, with Ben Affleck, Garrett Hedlund, Charlie Hunnam, Pedro Pascal and Adria Arjona all aboard the production. Plus, Chandor is indeed the director. Aww, it’s like a little reunion!

The crime-thriller, which is actually still as yet untitled, is set in South America as five friends reunite to take down a drug lord, unleashing a chain of unintended consequences. The name “Triple Frontier” comes from notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge — making the area difficult to monitor and a haven for organized crime.

Also, check out Affleck’s massive huge gigantic back tattoo, spotted while training for the film in Hawaii. Could spot that monster from space.
