Amazon Studios is in talks to pick up “The Expanse”, upon its cancellation at SyFy.
According to Deadline, Alcon Television Group, which fully finances and produces the sci-fi series, is in conversations with Amazon about picking up the show’s fourth season. No deal has been made yet but it’s reportedly looking good.

Meanwhile, Fox’s single-camera airplane comedy “LA to Vegas” has been canned after just one season.
Executive producer Will Ferrell had agreed to guest-star in an episode of the next season, if it helped boost ratings, but would not commit to appearing in the season 2 opener. That didn’t help with Fox’s decision to renew. While not the crucial factor, that, along with the network’s reduced shelf space because of the addition of Thursday Night Football, contributed to Fox’s decision to cancel the comedy starring Dylan McDermott.
