TV shows based on Rush Hour and Big in the works!

Sounds like “Rush Hour 4” will now take a backseat to a “Rush Hour” TV series. The film franchise will be rebooted as a new prime-time series from Warner Bros Television. “Cougar Town” co-creator Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick are writing the series, which – like the films – teams a wisecracking Yankee cop with a Japanese import. Brett Ratner, who directed the “Rush Hour” films, will be an executive producer on the series. (EW)

A TV series based on the Tom Hanks classic “Big” is in the works. Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce, creators of “Enlisted”, are behind the new half-hour comedy – which is said to ‘loosely’ follow the storyline of the ’80s comedy. The show will air on FOX. (EW)
